You must be at Least 16 years old for this piercing. The piercing passes through the loose skin above your bridge, between your eyes. It is prone to migration or “growing out.” The procedure uses a 14 or 12 gauge straight barbell and takes about 8-10 weeks to heal. We recommend wearing balls on the ends of barbells during the initial healing period. After healing, you can switch to gemstones or spikes for a more intense look.
Proper aftercare is essential for healing your bridge piercing. Clean the area with a sterile wound wash twice a day to keep it free from infection. Avoid touching or twisting the jewelry to prevent irritation. Be mindful of activities that may cause the piercing to snag or bump, and try to sleep on your back to reduce pressure.
